| Electronic corn and soybeans now available |
 |
We have concluded that the contracts for electronic corn (ZC)and soybeans (ZS) are functioning correctly. They are available to those groups that have access to the CBOT commodity contracts. FACTSim indicates these contracts are available 24 hours each day. In fact, they open at 7:00pm EST each day and close at 2:15 pm EST the following day. The markets pause trading at 7:00 am EST each morning and begin trading again at 10:30 am EST when the floor trading on these contracts begin trading. The close coincides with the floor traded close of 2:15 pm EST.
The only difference you face in trading these contracts as compared to real contracts is that they are not interchangeable with the regular floor traded contracts (symbols C and S. You cannot offset a floor traded corn (C) or floor traded soybean (S) contract with an electronic contract (ZC AND ZS). Good luck in your trading and don't hesitate to send a message to sickle@ufl.edu if you experience problems. |
